I am hoping that everyone put their shoes out last night. I know this is a funny statement because I am in Japan, but last night, Saint Nicholas would have visited all the good children in my country and given to them many nice gifts in their shoes. It is a tradition I wish could happen here too. Nothing was in my shoes this morning however. I suppose I am now too old for visits. Or maybe it is time I was the one to do the vstisiting.

I grew up in the same place that Doctor Faust and Frankenstein went to school. I think maybe people were afraid to take shoes. That or they knew Krampus would get them
